Luxury Villa at Mullins Bay Barbados

Turtles Reach is part of the exclusive Mullins Bay gated and secure community set in tropical gardens with three swimming pools that are available for our guests to use, two with waterfall features and one smaller one designed more for small children. All the pool areas have sun loungers, chairs, tables and umbrellas. The idyllic white sand and palm trees of Mullins Beach is less than two minutes walk away from Turtles Reach – you stroll past the pools onto a cobbled pathway through the tropical gardens of the Mullins Bay complex, out through the gate (locked at all times and is unlocked with a combination code given only to residents of Mullins Bay) and over the road to the Beach Club members deck, bar and restaurant.

The House

The superbly furnished and spacious four bedroom, four bathroom accommodation is located over three floors. The furnishings are designed to the highest standards and the interior includes many coral stone features and marble floors. Turtles Reach is equipped with air conditioning and ceiling fans throughout, wireless internet access, three of the bedrooms have wall hanging flat TV screens and the fourth bedroom has a free standing TV/computer. There is a high technology TV and surround-sound sound system in the lounge (with the functionality via our Apple TV to stream your own Film/TV series or music from your own Apple devices) and a superbly quipped Miele kitchen with granite worktops. All bedrooms are beautifully appointed, one four poster bed (6 foot), two large double beds (5 foot) and one with two large single beds (3 foot 3 inches) – ideal for children or friends sharing. All have ensuite bathrooms and built-in wardrobes and three of the bedrooms have balconies with sun-loungers overlooking the pool area, with a view of the Caribbean Sea from the vista on the second floor.

The house is equipped with a radio controlled zoned alarm system with two keypad stations. There is an extra security door at the front of the house. In addition the Mullins Bay gated community complex has 24 hour security patrols. A combination safe is provided for valuables.

The elegant and spacious living area on the ground floor opens through sliding patio doors to a large covered outdoor terrace. This terrace comprises a dining and seating area (with ceiling fans), with floor to ceiling curtains that can be drawn for extra shade or privacy. The terrace overlooks the private courtyard with its plunge pool, small flower garden and large gas barbeque. It offers a suntrap with sun beds for private sunbathing.

There is a lockable gate between the private courtyard and the semi-private outside pools, the smaller one is immediately outside the gate, with a larger pool and waterfall cascade a few yards away. Both these pool areas have tables, chairs and sunbeds.

There is car parking space on the drive at the front.

Guests have the use of a large selection of board games, DVDs and books. Internet and local phone calls are provided free of charge, with international calling available on request.

Guest access

Whilst staying with us, you can join in with water sports on the beach, use our tennis membership at Sugar Hill, or play golf on one of the various top-quality courses located nearby. Alternatively you can just relax and enjoy the beach (and the added benefits of automatic guest membership of the Royal Westmoreland Beach Club) and the pools. This elegantly appointed and spacious three storey, four bedroom Villa has all the ingredients for a very special luxurious Caribbean holiday in the sun.

Interaction with guests

Our House management team will be on hand to arrange for your complementary membership of the Royal Westmoreland Beach club and the Sugar Hill Tennis Club and to sort out any arrangements you would like them to make. For example, they can book restaurants, outings and events for you, and you can request a babysitter or cook who will be able to prepare meals to your specification.

Our housekeeper typically works six days a week. She keeps the house clean and prepares and changes bed linen and towels. She will also attend to guest washing and ironing if required.

Please note that Turtles Reach has a no smoking policy and is not suitable for pets. Out of respect for our neighbours, we cannot accommodate wild parties!

Other things to note

Barbados is the most westerly of the Caribbean islands. Cooled by the prevailing NE trade winds, the climate is always warm and pleasant without ever being oppressive. The average daytime temperature is around 28°C whilst during the night it drops to around 22°C. Just 21 miles long and 14 miles wide, the island has a population of about 267,000.
